The detective belongs to the Moreau Society which means he belongs to minority that uses alien tech to blend his dna with aliens to add abilities of just to change their look. Well written by an author who understands the detective genre. The first person view explains the society he lives in short snippets that allow you to understand the setting without sitting through a lecture.I was not as happy with book two in the series but I will buy book three when it comes out in hopes it gets back to the magic of "Dark Matters".

I read lots of Sci Fi and Detective stories and this is a good one. The ending seems pretty abrupt. it was a good read.
